On September 30 and October 1 2017 one of the largest miniature gaming events in Scandinavia takes place in Copenhagen, Denmark – The Giant Fanatic 2017.
Among others, 40K, 9th Age, Age of Sigmar, X-Wing, Bloodbowl and 30K tournaments/events will be present at the venue.
I am one of the TO’s for the 40K event, and I would like to send an open invitation to out neighbors in Sweden to come and invade Denmark.
The venue is located at DGI-byen, Tietgensgade 65, 1704 København V which is in central Copenhagen, right next to the Central Train Station.
At the moment there are 30 tickets available for the 40K event, with the option of increasing this number.
The 40K event will consist of 5 missions based on the ETC-missions with special twists. We will use swiss-draw, and there will be room for both the competitive (ETC-level) and fluffy casual players. There is a tradition for, that all kinds of players participate at the event.
Since this is an event, that celebrates the hobby as a whole, there will be painting requirements, and there will be a painting score, that along with a quiz will be included in the Best Overall Score – Oh yeah, and unpainted models will be removed from the army
There will be various prices at the event, including among others best overall/renaissance man, best general (most wins/BP), best painted/most awesome army and for most fair player.
As this is an event, that aims to reach out to both competitive and casual players, there will be an Army Selection System, which can be found on the link below along with missions.

Note that it is possible to send in a “Break the System” list for approval – This is mainly with regards to the rule of dublicates for “smaller” detachments and Forge World detachments, since they will often break the rules regarding the number of allowed Forge World units.

We will use http://www.tourneykeeper.net (used for the ETC) for handling the Tournament – And listsubmission no later than Monday September 25 at 20.00 will receive 10 bonus points, which will be included in both the Best General Score (wins/battlepoints + listsubmission score) and the Best Overall Score/Renaissance Man (battlepoints + listsubmission + paint + quiz + fairplay vote). If there are minor errors in the lists corrections will be allowed without penalty. Major changes might result in a reduction or complete loss of listsubmission score (Don’t worry we are quite large about this, since this is a new edition of 40K, and there is a new AS in place).
Lists will be revealed on Tourneykeeper, when the tournament starts – or prior to the tournament when all players have submitted their lists.
