Space Wolves?

Hej,

Vet ni om det finns några vettiga regler som gör att man kan spela Space Wolves eller är de så gammla att inte ens uppdateringarna är aktuella?

Skulle det vara ok att spela space wolves med vanliga Space marine reglerna om deras egna är out of date?

Dom funkar alldeles utmärkt att spela med fortfarande. Många av deras saker köps ju endå direkt ur SM-codexen.

Jag har sett en bra guide om vilka saer som fungerar hur nu för tiden, men jag vet tyvärr inte var...
Återkommer... om ingen annan vet.

Därmed inte sagt att allt är bra...
The Space Wolf codex is now nearly a decade old and has seen 3 revisions of the Space Marine codex which it was designed to work with. With each revision it has become a more convoluted process creating an army list for the Space Wolves.

Therefore, with a new Space Wolf codex on the horizon, I propose the following to tide Space Wolf players over until they receive a new codex:

1. All units and wargear exclusive to the Space Wolves should be used exactly as per the rules given in the Space Wolf codex. This covers the following units:
• Wolf Lord
• Wolf Guard Battle Leader
• Rune Priest
• Wolf Priest
• Venerable Dreadnought
• Wolf Guard
• Wolf Scouts
• Iron Priest
• Grey Hunters
• Blood Claws
• Blood Claws Bike Pack
• Long Fangs
• Leman Russ Exterminator

And the following wargear:
• Rune Weapon
• Frost Blade
• Runic Staff
• Belt of Russ
• Chooser of the Slain
• Fang of Morkai
• Great Company Banner
• Healing Potions and Balms
• Mark of the Wulfen
• Runic Armour
• Runic Charm
• Wolf Helm of Russ
• Wolf Pelt
• Wolf Tail Talisman
• Wolf Tooth Necklace
• Wolf Totem
• Fenrisian Wolves

2. Use the weapon stats for all weapons, for better or worse, from the current Space Marine codex. This just makes sense. The wolf codex is 3 editions old now so it is a distinctly separate case from the very new Dark Angel and Blood Angel codices.
3. Use the points costs for the above from the Space Wolf codex. This makes sense and keeps codex cross over to a minimum. Also keeps the Wolf Guard/Other points costs for items.
4. The Venerable Dreadnought and the Leman Russ Exterminator use the points costs for vehicles upgrades as given in the Space Wolf codex. This keeps it simple.
5. Other units in the list, where the codex says to refer to the Space Marine codex, should use the points costs, including associated upgrades such as extra armour etc, and rules from the current Space Marine codex. So if a Space Wolf army has drop pods then it must use the drop pod assault special rules for example. This helps to balance the benefits of cheaper rhinos with more expensive extra armour, slightly more expensive but potentially more useful drop pods etc.
6. Space Wolves do not get any army specific rules, i.e. combat tactics or combat squads, from the Space Marine codex. Again this keeps it simple and only takes what is needed from the new marine codex. As much as I would love to get combat tactics!
