Question

1) If I use a Farsight enclaves list and I take Commander Brightsword who has Fusion Blades and the Warscaper drone, can I then take another model in the army with Fusion Blades or the Warscaper drone also? In the tau Farsight supplement it says "Only one of each signature system may be taken per army" but the one carried by Commander Brightsword is built into his equipment so its not something you choose for him, he just happens to have it.

Supplements is not allowed. Just standard codexes.

Really?? I have been building and painting a Farsight enclaves list for this tournament and putting lots of painting hours into it as I couldnt find anywhere that stated that supplements were not allowed??

Is there any sort of special exception that can be applied for to get my Farsight list to make its presence shown at Varberg? Following LBK mallen there is nothing you can take in a Farsight list that you wouldnt normally take in a Tau list anyway, so I cant understand why it (or Iyanden or Black legion) is not considered to be usable when Imperial armour and forgeworld stuff is??

Imperial armour isn't allowed in this tournament either and the reason for both cases is the compsystem which still hasn't been written to incorporate FW or supplements. SweFAQ has a list of allowed FW units but since they haven't been looked at for the comp they won't be allowed this tournament. And, as you said, there isn't that much of a difference between the original codex and the supplement so I think you'll be just fine by using the codex instead.

I'm pretty sure there wont be an exception since that wouldn't be fair to everbody else and others would claim the right to play supplements as well.

Well the one big exception to the normal Tau Codex is that I use Crisis Suits as Troops What I meant with there not being a big difference is that all the hard stuff you can do with the Farsight supplement is already limited by the Komp mallen (Riptides, Broadsides, Ethereal pulse bubble, Farsight bodyguard, Markerlight spam etc), so there are no "holes" in the Farsight supplement that can be abused to create OP lists. Crisis suits as troops is not a no brainer as you end up with a low model count and they have vulnerabilities.

I was under the impression that you could apply for a Breaking the system special allowance in some cases (all players on the team want to play Marines or different Chaos Gods etc), so I know that it would be unfair if they only allowed me to use a supplement but I would have to send in my list and apply and so would any other who would like to do it so it would be fair for everybody in the end.

The reason I am petioning is because I have not seen the rule disallowing supplements anywhere, so I have been building my army for quite some time now and testing it believing it was legal, and suddenly finding out I cant play it is a mayor bummer. I know its my own fault for not seeing it, but honestly I still cannot see where it is written??

I can agree that it should have been a part of the first post or included in the armysection of the homepage but it has been clarified

Ok, but this is written on page 8 in a thread, really hard to find

So I guess I have no choice to petition to be able to use my Farsight list. Ill gladly post the intended list for all to see if necessary and will accept without complain if I am still not allowed to use my loving Crisis suit army

I´m sorry that it hasn´t been more clarified on the home page. However we won´t open pandoras box om this one so the list wont be accepted.
